Well my friends, I write to you all again on the eve after my cousin's wedding. It's the first one of our generation to get married and it was a blast. Wedding's are a lot more meaningful when it's happening to someone you know closely. Heather asked me to sing in her and Wes' wedding. I sang three songs and they all went well. So I came down for a rehearsal friday night and then the whole wedding party went out to Cobblestone's. It's a bar in York and was great. We had a great dinner then shot some pool and smoked a stogie. It was so much fun. Then yesterday was the real deal. It all went well and was very nice and the reception was at The Valentia Ballroom in York. So it was very much a fun night.
Except that I woke up the next morning with pink eye, which is not so much fun. But oh well. Tomorrow I go back to Phillie with dad to pick up Dwayne at the airport. He's been in Florida helping Timmy and Shyanne and their family move down there. So hopefully they will go get a cheese steak with me. Mom even said she'll come along because she hasn't seen my apartment yet. So it should be a good day.
Both Josh and I have internships and jobs now. Josh is interning at Morgan Stanley and all is going well there. He's already been offered a job there if he should return there after school. Then in the evening he works at the Irish Pub. It's a really classy pub in downtown Phillie. he's bar backing there and learning to bar tend. So we hang out there often. I'm working in the train station at the Amazon Café. I make smoothies and sandwiches and what not there. Then in the evenings I intern at Third Story Recordings. I really am enjoying it. The owner and engineers are really nice and I'm learning a lot there about owning and running a studio as well as technical stuff.
Both Josh and I also eagerly await the return of our good friend Tony Shearer. he will be coming home soon from his mormon mission in california although I don't think I can leagally reveal the date of his return lest the mormon Gods strike me dead (I kid). But it'll be great to have him back after two long years of Tonylessness.
Also it looks like OTP will become a permant band at school. We're going to try to put some originals together and play more gigs this year. So that seems like it'll be a lot of fun. I miss playing in a band. It's going to be Jordan and Gena on guitars, broody on drums, Dave on bass, and myself on lead vocals and whatever else each song may call for. It'llbe great to just sing.
Well my little cousins are over swimming so I'm going to go hang with them. For a good read check out Thich Nhat Hahn's book, Peace is Every Step.
