So tonight was the Jazz band concert. It was a lot of fun. I don't think I could actually put in words how much I love making music. It's just so amazing. And Melius was getting all emotional about this being my last concert. It was funny and touching all at once. It's kind of nice that as wierd as life is right now (and it is weird!) I can just retreat back into this world of music. Like tonight. Although life has been generally poopy, not a bit of those thoughts crossed my mind during the concert. I was in my zone. I was connecting with people (the drummers, fellow band mates) more deeply than any conversation ever could. It was my little world.
I wish the orchestra concert Sunday could be as magical but I doubt it. I can't even play the music in the Beethoven, and the Copeland is so easy, it's a joke. And I think I play only 8 measures of truly beautiful music in the whole thing. I miss Pavanne from last year. Give me something romantic to play that has some melody and passion instead of just gratuitous scales. Oh well.
Late night watching a movie and chilling with my friends upstairs so I'm going to bed.  ¶ 1:19 AM
